Stanpit Marsh is a nature reserve and site of special scientific interest covering approximately 160 acres. The area hosts a variety of animals and a number of rare birds and plants. Mudeford Quay is one of the most recognisable locations along this stretch of coast and features a number of places to eat and drink as well as places to walk and picnic. There are regular events held throughout the year including the annual Lifeboat Week and Seafood Festivals. Colourful beach huts line Mudeford Spit and can often be seen on TV or in the national news! The sandy Avon Beach at Friars Cliff is the perfect place to relax and take a dip in the sea. Steamer Point nature reserve is another local beauty spot as you head towards Highcliffe. Hoburne is a more modern residential area with a variety of property and a holiday park.
