Now is "absolutely" the right time to buy

Using Simon Cowell's terminology, now is "absolutely 110 per cent
yes" the right time to buy a new house, one property expert has
asserted.
Paul Smith, chief executive of haart estate agency, which sells
thousands of UK properties every week, said that he recommends
buying now because house prices and mortgage rates being are low
and there is likely to be a rush to beat the end of the stamp duty
holiday at the end of the year.
His comments follow the launch of a new national government
campaign to help struggling homeowners take control of their
finances and make the most of the support available for them to
avoid repossessions and stay in their homes.
"The stamp duty deadline will coincide with the VAT rate rising to
17.5 per cent, pushing up the cost of buying once more as the
government turns to increased taxation to plug its fiscal black
hole," warned Mr Smith.
