Most people 'like to live within a community'

Independent estate agents could do well to bear
in mind the advice of one property expert who believes the most
tenants prefer to live in homes within a community.
James Davis, the chief executive of free online service upad.co.uk,
also said that there is increased demand for rental accommodation
in the UK due to factors such as the fact that it is no longer a
"taboo" to rent rather than own a house.
His comments follow the publication of a report by the Town and
Country Planning Association, which revealed that the housing
supply backlog is likely to approach one million by the end of next
year.
"In key conurbations where you can find the vast majority of
tenants, there has been a growing chronic shortage of rental
stock," stated Mr Davis.
This news comes after Communities and Local Government recently
reported that the number of English households is expected to rise
to 27.8 million over the next 22 years.
