Landlords 'should look in different areas for new tenants'

Landlords should look to purchase their next buy-to-let properties
in different areas in order to find new tenants.
Mark Garner, director and founder of LettingZone, recently advised
tenants to look on the edges of a popular area in order to find
more from the property market.
He told tenants to "totally research the rental market in their
ideal area to see exactly what they get for their money".
This advice could be given to landlords who could purchase
properties in suburbs and on the outskirts of town, where there is
likely to be a large tenant market looking for cheaper
prices.
Last week, LSL Property Services reported that the number of rent
arrears decreased over the past 12 months.
Findings revealed that 84 per cent of landlords noted arrears had
remained stable or fallen over the last year, despite the rise in
rental prices.
Mr Garner added that he predicts there will "no real change in the
letting market for certainly the next six months".
