House for sale in Cardiff 'could be more affordable'

The latest figures from the Land Registry indicate that a house for sale in Cardiff might be comparably more
affordable than in the other capital cities of the UK.
In London, the average property price has increased by 6.1 per cent
over the past year.
However, a house for sale in Wales over the same period has
typically dropped in value by 2.5 per cent.
Over the past month alone, property prices in Wales have fallen by
two per cent, suggesting that a house for sale in Cardiff may be
more affordable now than was previously the case.
London is not the only place where prices are rising, as the Land
Registry notes seven regions of England and Wales have seen values
increase over the past year.
The average house for sale in Cardiff now costs £142,790 -
slightly more affordable than in December 2008, when the typical
property valuation was £144,073.
