Asking prices drop in November for potential homebuyers

Houses for sale in the UK dropped in price in November 2010, a
survey has found.
According to Rightmove, asking prices declined by 3.2 per cent this
month - a finding which will come as good news to people
considering buying a new house.
The report revealed that the average property price in the UK in
November was £229,379, a decline from £236,849 in
October, when values saw a rise of 3.1 per cent from the previous
month.
It also showed that house prices have fallen in four of the last
five months, with 3.2 per cent representing the biggest monthly
drop since December 2007.
These figures come after the Land Registry reported its house price
figures at the end of October, revealing that the average cost of a
property for sale dropped by 0.2 per cent in September.
It also showed that houses for sale in London fell in price by 0.6
per cent during the same month.
